Environmental Management: A Socio-cultural Methodology
By G.A.Fomenko
Costa Rica: Institute for Sustainable Innovation, 2017.

The book is devoted to the challenge of involving ordinary people in the task of environmental management. It considers foundations for a socio-cultural approach to environmental management and the practical implementation of such an approach, based on the model of "homo responsabilis” developed by the author. The problems associated with the import of environmental institutions to regions with their own socio-cultural traditions are examined in detail, and the need to mitigate conflicts caused by such import is emphasized. In the practical plane, the author suggests new approaches to the management of specific environmental tasks.

The book is intended for a wide audience of those who are professionally concerned with environmental management and nature conservation.
